Why get a boat one might wonder
Why yes, why indeed
…I may smugly reply as I’d avoid buying into the ridiculous rents one finds all over San Francisco while getting a boat on top of the great views lunch on the water might give me. Also I get to drill through walls if I wanted to – because they’d be my walls.
I never owned a place. I grew up in apartments. It’s time I made some proper housing mistakes on my own now (I type as I look at a powerdrill).
For a more elaborate longer look at our decision to buy a boat, have a look at the about us page.
Why smart?
We are in San Francisco, with “smart” products and startups everywhere you swing your cat, maybe they give out things for free after they’re bought or bankrupted a discount?
It also seem like the smart thing to do. For our comfort aboard, and for resell value when we decide to take the next step: trade for a sailboat and loot sail around the world.
