New, good CO monitors run for about 20$. But we want to be smart about it so we payed 100$. Yeah, you heard me. So what’s smart about it besides the look?

1. It talks in a nice soothing voice instead of a loud beepy shout.
2. It tells me to worry about my cooking on the phone before going all screamy. Mm. CO and old fashion smoke.
3. Looks pretty sweet (that’s about 50$ of it right there).
4. Certain street cred in the county I guess.
5. We I wanted all the smart things no matter how redundant.
