The lamps in the boats are about as bland as they come. How I wish it was as simple as simply switching a lightbulb, but if you’ve read some posts already you know that there is precisely nothing as simple as switching out a bulb.
An example of how it’s not as simple as switching out a bulb comes from the bathroom. Bought the smallest LED replacement out there (Home Depot retail anyway) which was too large and now bent. That’s now 10$ worth of knowledge. Adding that to the Hindsight pot.
Bought different sockets for all the lights. Was excited to see that tracking number give me the feedback delivered. Except they weren’t. Someone stole them. Or misplaced them. Besides, Amazon had enough of my returns and complaints about none-delivery already so I just sucked it up. Sucked up the socket loss. Then went nuts and bought a whole lamp for a test run why not. Those original golden ones are far too gaudy anyways, it was bound to happen. Problem with that – I’ve never rewired lamps before, and to have it safe on battery without possibly burning up the boat is also a thing.
Internet, my best teacher in life, told me how, so I jumped into it. With some adult supervision.
Will keep you updated. Also, watch the news for fires.
