Pristine chance to hamster-proof the kitchen area when the fridge was out. We suspect that one time Gunther got out (and we found him outside(!) in the early morning) he had ventured through the hull passing through the kitchen and fought pass all crazy cables.

I really have no idea, but I assume the huge gaps under the fridge/sink have some sort of function. Like conditioning the air.
So I didn’t want to plug it completely off.
Found something, again at Home Depot, that could let in air and keep hamsters out. See picture.
What is it actually for? I don’t know.
Banged it down and let Gunther give it a stab.
Success! TFW your hamster gives up escaping the previous path. Wonderful.
